RE – Easter activities

Phonics Use the username March20 and password home to be able to access the activities. This is something we use at school and is great for practising our Phonic knowledge. Foundation are working at Phase 2 and 3. KS1 Phonics – Phase 5 and Y2 Phase 6. The Reading Robot game is useful to practise reading real and pseudo words – it’s one of our favourites.

Writing prompts can be found Pobble Great for discussion and promoting creativity in our writing.

Online reading books at Oxford Owl You can read books at your child’s reading level as an ebook. You do need to register but it’s free. Please note any reading into your child’s reading record book.

Maths – In class we use White Rose who have very kindly created home schooling lessons Click on your relevant year group to find lessons and activities.

Nrich maths gives lots of maths games and investigations. You can try some interactive problems on tablets

For all year groups – an investigation involving adding dice nrich maths

or comparing capacity – Compare the cups nrich maths

For Y1/2 Pass the Peas Please – a number game involving addition and subtraction nrich maths

Why not try maths games on Top Marks this is great for all age groups. Hit the button can be found on here to practise their doubling, halving. tables and number bonds, while foundation can access counting and shape games.

PE – Fancy a work out! Joe Wicks will be doing a virtual PE lesson each morning at 9am. The Body Coach

Have a look in your child’s pack for more!

KS1 children have some rainbow tracker activities too. These activities are carried out in our continuous provision and so can be carried out in any order they like.

Don’t forget any fantastic work can be photographed and emailed to our vixentor class icloud account. This will allow us to add the work to your child’s learning journey when we get back to normality!

Get moving. We have joined a PE based activity website across the federation. It has lots of ideas for practical PE activities. You can log your activities and achieve goals. But please be aware of the social distancing limitations when selecting activities to carry out.
